Can I run XStandard version 2 and version 3 on the same computer?
OS X
On OS X, only one version of the editor can be used on the same computer.
Windows
On Windows, different browsers on the same computer can run different versions of the editor.
- Internet Explorer will use the version that is "installed" on the computer via EXE or via CAB file.
- Firefox, Safari and Opera will first look for the editor in their "plugins" folder, then they will look for the editor that is "installed" on the computer via EXE.
So, you can install version 3 via EXE (x-lite.exe or x-pro.exe) and then put version 2 NPXStandard.dll into Firefox's "plugins" folder like this:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\NPXStandard.dll
IE will then use version 3 and Firefox will use version 2.
Download version 2.0 NPXStandard.dll
